Introduction
Hey all,
I'm Jake O'B, and I've been a member of Troop 149 since 2015.
My Eagle Scout project will be rebuilding the Insect Habitat behind Taylor Elementary School. Any help is greatly appreciated - from scouts or any friends and family. This is a great way to earn service hours, contribute to the community, and also just help a troop member out.
Description
We will be rebuilding the Insect Habitat/Bug Garden behind Taylor Elementary School. This includes building a path, installing a bench, removing plants outside of the borders, and clearing any unwanted plants within the garden itself.
Food (pizza) and drinks will be provided.
Where & When
The project will take place behind Taylor Elementary School at 2600 N. Stuart St. To reach the site, take the path around the school until you are behind the school (image below).
The two work days will be Saturday, October 10th and Sunday, October 11th from 10am to 2pm.

What to bring
Since a considerable amount of the project will involve plant removal, we recommend bringing work gloves to keep your hands clean (we'll have some disposable gloves, but these aren't very good for ground work).
If you have any yard rakes, shovels, or wheelbarrows for moving the mulch for the path, these would also be helpful (we have a couple but more are always useful).
Lastly, make sure to wear a mask to help mitigate the risk of coronavirus.
